Streator Fire Department Acts Quickly on Vehicle Fire

STREATOR – No injuries were reported after Streator Fire Department made quick work of a vehicle fire early Thursday morning. Firefighters were called to a vehicle fire near a home on the 400 block of Powell Street just before 2:30am. The firefighters were able to control the fire in under ten minutes. The structure suffered minor damage, although the vehicle was a complete loss. The cause of the fire is undetermined, but is not viewed as suspicious.
