Gun Stolen During Vehicle Burglary Spree

STREATOR – A firearm and three purses have been stolen in the last 72 hours in a rash of vehicle burglaries in southern LaSalle County.   The Streator Police Department reports that since Saturday seven vehicles had been broken into, with windows broken to gain entry.    In the 300 Block of Stanton Street a window was broken and an unloaded Glock pistol was taken.  On Oakley Avenue three other vehicles had windows smashed and purses stolen.    Unknown items were taken and other car windows were smashed on Park Street, Grant Street and Monroe Street.  Anyone with any information on these incidents is asked to contact the Streator Police Department.
