Vacant Home Burns Wednesday Morning

STREATOR – An early morning fire engulfed the back part of a vacant house on the southeast side of Streator Wednesday morning. After midnight the Streator Fire Department was called to the 1100 block of Arthur Street and found a two story home with heavy fire and smoke visible. No injuries were reported and the department remained on scene for two hours. In a release this morning the department says the cause of the fire has yet to be determined, but it is under investigation by the fire department, Streator Police, and the State Fire Marshal.
