OTTAWA – Septembers dry spell is turning out to be a positive turn of events for LaSalle County farmers. According to LaSalle County’s Farm Bureau President David Isermann, the excellent weather conditions have made it easier for farmers to harvest the corn crop. He says mother nature has played a huge role in drying out the corn, saving farmers money on manually drying out the crops themselves. Isermann went on to say a little rain for the soybeans wouldn’t hurt. LaSalle County is one of the nations largest corn producing counties.
