Crash Causes Fire; Power Lines Down in Bureau County

SPRING VALLEY – A Tuesday night Bureau County crash had no injuries but did take down power lines. After 9:30 Spring Valley Fire and 10/33 EMS were called to the are of Peru- Princeton Road for a single vehicle rollover accident. Power lines were brought down in the incident and were arcing. A small fire was started by the lines before Ameren could get power cut to the scene. The driver refused treatment at the scene. The incident remains under investigation by the Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.
