OTTAWA – The city of Ottawa will be getting a new and improved ice skating rink next week. According to Commissioner James Less, the size of the portable rink will be of National Hockey League standards of 200 by 85 feet. The rink is expected to be installed by Monday, weather permitting, located at Thornton Park. Hours of operation are to be determined, however Less says there will be designated times for family skating and for those looking to play hockey.
