MORRIS – Farm bureau members in Grundy and Kendall County will vote on a merger this month.
According to Kendall Farm Bureau Manager Dan Reedy, his retirement announcement sparked the idea the farm bureau once had several years ago. Reedy who supports the merge, says because over half of members are over 60 years of age, a merger would be fitting for the long run. Reedy has been with the farm bureau for over 37 years and will retire in February, when the possible merger would begin. He says if the merger is successful, the Grundy-Kendall Farm Bureau would be located in Morris. Kendall Farm Bureau members will vote January 9th, and Grundy members will vote on the 10th.
