STREATOR – Woodland High School celebrated the grand opening of their new gymnasium. On Wednesday evening, members of Woodland High School and city officials celebrated the opening of the Warriors Gymnasium with a ribbon cutting and tour. Superintendent Ryan McGuckin says the two year project had its ups and downs, but is proud to see it come to fruition. McGuckin says in nine months time the board plans to start a 4 million dollar HVAC project that would air condition all classrooms and ventilate to the gymnasium. The gym’s floor, bleachers and paint work were all paid for by the 1% sales tax on the district.
