STREATOR – A statement was released by Streator Elementary School District Officials about an alleged threat made by a student late on Friday. They say that it was suggested in the threat that students not attend classes at Northlawn Junior High on Monday. The incident was investigated by school officials and the Streator police department and according to the school district was handled appropriately. They say that if at any time they felt that students or staff should not have attended, they would have notified staff and parents immediately. There was no word on any discipline action that was taken or identity of the student.
