STREATOR – A quick response to a call for a fire Thursday evening in Streator helped limit damage to a body shop. According to the Streator Fire Department they were called around 8 PM to the 700 block of East Hickory Street for a fire that was already going through the roof. The blaze took 25 minutes to bring under control with assistance from Grand Ridge, Allen Township, Reading, and Long Point. There was one minor injury to a firefighter reported. Damage to a part of the building was severe, but the rest only sustained minor smoke damage. The cause of the fire was reportedly unintentional.
