PRINCETON – Attorneys involved in the case of a Spring Valley man charged with murder agreed for further pre-trial on Wednesday. 37-year-old Eddie L. Mentgen is charged with first degree murder for his alleged involvement in the April homicide of 28-year-old Marissa Roberts. On Wednesday afternoon at the Bureau County Courthouse, State’s Attorney Geno Caffernini and Public Defender Brad Popurella signed an agreement to allow cell phone and Facebook records during trial. There will be a second pre-trial hearing scheduled for 2:15 p.m. next week Thursday, November 14th at the Bureau County Courthouse. Mentgen pleads not guilty to charges.
