City departments request new vehicles for 2020

STREATOR – New vehicles are a common need among Streator’s department heads. On Tuesday, department heads were given the opportunity to discuss their 2020 budget and request any increases to certain areas. The fire, police and the public works department all requested new vehicles for next year. City Manager David Plyman says he’s exploring avenues to help finance city vehicles, and avoid losing money.
