OTTAWA – 16 COVID_19 tests out of LaSalle County were sent to state laboratories for testing with half confirmed negative, according to officials. LaSalle County Health Department Administrator Julie Kerestes, says the other eight are pending results and those people are currently in isolation. LaSalle County Chairman Jim Olson has signed an Emergency Proclamation in response to COVID_19 on Tuesday. LaSalle County Emergency Management Association Director Connie Brooks says this gives the county the flexibility to exercise emergency powers in the event that a resident tests positive for the virus. LaSalle County department heads are asking residents to use the county’s online services as much as possible, limiting visits to the governmental center.
