Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively contribute $1 million to two major food banks

It was Mister Rogers who once said that in times of calamity, it is important to “look for the helpers.” They’re all around us.
So many people have stepped up to donate food and assist people during the global Coronavirus pandemic, and Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively have recently stepped up to contribute $1 million to two major food banks. The money will be split between Feeding America and Food Banks Canada.
“We are so grateful for Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s extremely generous donation, and for all of the donations we’ve been receiving,” said Dan Nisbet, vice president of Major Gifts at Feeding America.
Reynolds added in a tweet, “Take care of your bodies and hearts. Leave room for joy. Call someone who’s isolated and might need connection.”
That’s a good reminder to check up on your relatives and make sure they are doing all right during this time.
