In a nearly unprecedented special, Keith Urban and Kacey Musgraces will headline “One World: Together at Home,” a globally televised and stream event to support the fight against the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The special will air Saturday, April 18th at 8pm on a variety of networks, including CBS, NBC, ABC, MTV, Comedy Central, TV Land, Bravo, E!, and even SyFy of all places. The event will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Stephen Colbert while also featuring performances from pop singers Billie Elish and Lizzo, along with other legends like Elton John and Stevie Wonder.
Two years ago, on September 11th, I revisited “The Concert for New York City,” a massive benefit concert that took place merely weeks after the devastating terrorist attacks, and featured dozens of artists and filmmakers. They came together to raise money and show support for New York City’s courageous first responders in the wake of the deadliest attacks on American soil. It’s these moments that help keep the fabric of our nation in tact. I’ll be watching on April 18th.
