Your “Daily Dose of Uplift” for April 27th:
The ongoing pandemic forced Savannah Kulenic and Dylan Perkins to scrap their planned Hawaiian wedding and other subsequent celebrations and have a last minute ceremony on a North Carolina beach.
The ended up having to wait until the actual ceremony to get the groom’s wedding band delivered because the company making the band closed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Just in time, the company reopened and rush delivered the band overnight. The ceremony was scheduled for 3 pm, but the ring wasn’t set to arrive until 4:30pm. The couple had to leave a note on their door asking the delivery driver to bring the ring to the beach during the wedding.
“This sweet man came running down the sand, waving the package,” a post on a photography Facebook page read. “It was amazing. This should be a FedEx commercial.”
Joe Engel, the driver, was simply happy he didn’t “ruin it” by being late with the special delivery.
What a sweet story. The kind of thing you would call “far-fetched” if you saw it unfold in a movie or a TV show.
