Your “Daily Dose of Uplift” for April 30th:
10-year-old Hannah Imig has been busy during quarantine. She heard the Chesterfield Police in her town of Wildwood, MO were going to lose some of their pay due to financial hardships as of late, so she asked her mother if she could donate some of her savings to the police.
But that’s not all. She went a step further and tried to obtain donations from local businesses and members of the community. In a day and a half, she raised $2,400.
“She then went a step further in her kindness and used that money to purchase gift cards from several local restaurants and businesses in the area, helping all of them during these tough financial times as well,” the Chesterfield Police Department wrote on Facebook.
I encourage you to take a look at the progress Hannah made, which is shown in pictures in the link below. I wish I was half as resourceful as she is at the age of 10. An awesome gesture for one of the most essential industries during this crisis.
