MARSEILLES- A long term care facility in Marseilles has had an outbreak of COVID-19 that the Illinois Department of Public Health has said resulted in 40 infections and one COVID-19 related death. Aperion Care has approximately 100 beds, but the current number of residents living there was not available. Aperion noted Thursday that two staff members have also tested positive. This is the second long term care facility to have a case in LaSalle County, after a previously reported single infection at the LaSalle Veterans Home.
