80% of single people want to start dating…many want to find someone before lockdown ends

According to a survey, 80% of single people are tired of “virtual dating” and screen-only interaction and are ready and willing to start in-person dating again. Here’s the other kicker: 60% want to tie down before the end of lockdown.
This obviously stems from the basic human desire to be wanted and to have some sense of connection. This time is hard on many of us, and frankly I admire the ambition — it’s good to have goals in life. But on top of it being against social distancing guidelines in place in many states, it’s also wildly difficult to go out and do anything with anybody. This is especially true seeing as bars and restaurants in Illinois are closed, so that perfect conduit for a date is gone.
It’s a good thing I got my cats for company through all of this, I suppose!
