STREATOR- Crews extinguished a garage fire in Streator early Sunday morning. The Streator Fire Department say they were called around 3:30 AM to the 800 Block of South Otter Creek Street after what residents described as a small explosion in the attached garage. Upon arrival they found the garage door damaged and little smoke. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire appears to be accidental, possibly due to materials used to stain wood. Damage was contained to the garage area and was described as minimal.
