UTICA – Portions of area roads and property could be underwater by mid-week according to the National Weather Service. If the Illinois River predictions hold true, parts of Dee Bennet Road between Utica and Naplate could be flooded as soon as Tuesday. The lower lots of Starved Rock State Park, which is already closed by the state, may also be submerged. Allen Park and Green Street in Ottawa could see floodwaters Tuesday as well. Heavy rains have already deluged some areas in North Central Illinois with over 4” of rain since Thursday.
