SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health Monday announced 2,294 new cases of COVID-19 in Illinois, including 59 additional deaths. Since the outbreak began, there have been 96,485 infections, including 4,234 COVID-19 related deaths. The statewide 7-day rolling positivity rate, May 9-15, 2020 is 14%.
