1,545 new infections in Illinois, 146 COVID-19 related deaths

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health Tuesday announced 1,545 new cases of coronavirus disease in Illinois, including 146 additional deaths.  Since the pandemic began, the IDPH has reported a total of 98,030 cases, including 4,379 deaths, in 100 counties in Illinois. Within the past 24 hours, laboratories have reported 18,443 specimens for a total of 621,684 tests.  The statewide 7-day rolling positivity rate is 14%.
