OTTAWA – A multitude of warnings were issued across North Central Illinois Saturday for a series of storms that uprooted trees and possibly spawned a tornado near Joliet.
The National Weather Service received multiple reports for wind damage across the state, and locally trees and hail fell across Ottawa and Marseilles around 2 PM. A team is expected to be looking along I-80 near Joliet to assess if the minor damage there was caused by a tornado. No injuries were reported in the area from the storms.
