SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health Wednesday announced 1,111 new cases of COVID-19, including 160 additional deaths. A teen from LaSalle County was among the new infections reported. Currently, the IDPH is reporting over 5,000 deaths statewide. The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity from May 20-26 is 8.6%.
