UTICA – Starved Rock will re-open on May 29th, although access may be limited. Flooding has closed the lower lots, so parking will be down to just 300 cars in the overflow lot. The Lodge lots will be for those who have reservations only. Trails will be muddy and some may be closed at Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Park. Beginning May 29, the only entrance to Starved Rock State Park that will be open to visitors is the south entrance on Illinois Rt. 71.
