PERU – The Peru Library will not be open for visitors to browse in person, but residents can call to get materials they want set aside to be picked up. The Lobby Service is available any time between 10am and 2pm from Monday to Friday. Library staff are available to take phone orders between 9am and 3pm.
“Since we begun last Wednesday (the 20th), library staff have seen steady use of the service”, said Charm Ruhnke, director. “We see about 20 patrons a day coming to the lobby to pick up their bag of books”, she explained.
Once the items are returned, the library is quarantining them for 7 days before lending the material to the next patron.
