7-year-old hosts makeshift prom for his nanny; “one of the best people I’ve known”

Your “Daily Dose of Uplift” for June 1st:
Seven-year-old Curtis Rodgers in Raleigh, North Carolina hasn’t seen his favorite nanny in months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Upset that he hadn’t seen her, and also feeling sorry that she couldn’t experience her senior prom, he threw his nanny, Rachel, a surprise senior prom in his backyard. He spared no expense and no detail.
“I planned it out because Rachel probably wanted to see me a lot,” Curtis told ABC 7. “She also is one of the best people I’ve known.”
He mapped out the whole evening with fun games, snacks, and a meal outside as well.
“He had all my favorite foods and everything,” Rachel said. “I could tell he put a lot of thought into it.”
It’s always good to start off a brand new month with an adorable story.
