Dad shares “review” of daughter’s pretend restaurant on social media

Your “Daily Dose of Uplift” for June 5th:
One of the most fun activities to engage in with children is make-believe. If a child asks you to be a guest at their tea-party, you better sit down and have a cup of “pretend tea.” If they want to built a fort, you better make sure that fort is secure and safe for the both of you. But sometimes, you have to leave a review of your daughter’s pretend restaurant.
Chris Kyle did just that after his 16-month-old daughter, Ava, treated him to a meal at her pretend restaurant, aided by her kitchen playset.
You can check out the adorable photo and the full review on Kyle’s Instagram. My favorite excerpt is this one:
“I been waiting on my order to get done for 45 minutes, and I’m the only customer here. She was making good progress at first, then she stopped for 20 minutes to go watch Paw Patrol.”
The post wound up going viral for the inherent cuteness factor coupled with Kyle’s witty critiques yet encouraging tone of voice. He ended the review saying, “Overall the customer service could be better, but the cook is a cutie; so I’ll give her another chance.”
