PERU – Illinois Valley Community Hospital has begun to ease some visitor restrictions as Illinois re-opens after the COVID-19 pandemic. Obstetrics patients with sonogram appointments and all day surgery patients will be allowed to have one person accompany them into the hospital. All visitors will be screened and required to wear a mask. All patients must remain six feet apart in waiting rooms.
“Assuming current COVID-19 downward trends continue, there will be additional changes to the visitor policy in the coming weeks,” said Tommy Hobbs, IVCH chief executive officer.
