SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health Director reminded residents of the state that they need to take steps to protect health from other illness as we continue to battle with COVID-19. Her warning comes as the IDPH has confirmed the first mosquitoes to test positive for West Nile in the state for 2020. There have been no human cases of West Nile reported thus far. In addition, the IDPH announced 625 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, as well as 78 additional deaths.
