DIXON – Nobody exactly knows what kind of adventures Filo the dog had during the last week, but he somehow got from his home in Arkansas to north central Illinois. The Lee County Animal Control Office said Wednesday that a woman had noticed the stray locally and took him to the shelter in Dixon, where a chip reader discovered the dog was from Arkansas. The owner was reached who explained that she lives along the interstate, and perhaps Filo hitched a ride that way. A family member drove 11 hours to take the dog back home.
