Saturday morning fire damages home in South Streator

STREATOR – A home was damaged in Streator early Saturday morning after a fire broke out just after midnight. The Reading fire department reports that they were called to a home in the 2000 block of South Church Street for smoke coming from the side of the structure. After pulling the siding from the house, firefighters discovered flames inside the walls. Reading, Cornell and Long Point departments responded to blaze with no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
