Two strangers rescue woman from sinking car

Your “Daily Dose of Uplift” for June 15th:
Last week, around 4:50 a.m. on his way to work, Daniel Miranda witnessed something he could only describe as “horrific.”
He saw a car go out of control, hit a pole, spin more than a dozen times, and then land upside down in an irrigation ditch in Tracy, California.
“I thought, ‘I can’t just sit here’,” said the 27-year-old Miranda. “The car was sinking deeper and deeper in the water. I said, ‘Man, time to go in’.”
Jorge Mendoza, too, saw the car crash and promptly following Miranda after he saw him sprint into action.
The Tracy Firefighters Association has commended Miranda and Mendoza, along with Alameda County Sheriff’s Department technician Fred Cutaia, for coming to the rescue of the driver following the crash.
