IDPH reports over 60 new COVID-19 deaths

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health announced 715 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state, with 64 additional deaths. The IDPH is currently reported a total of 138,540 cases since the pandemic began, with 6,770 deaths. Dr. Ezike of the Illinois Department of Public Health also stressed the importance of social distancing, mask wearing, and handwashing, as the state prepares to enter phase four on Friday.
