DIXON – The Lee County Sheriff’s Office say a man that fled a traffic stop where gunfire was exchanged last week may have stolen another vehicle.   On Friday they say that 34-year-Donald E. Powell earlier this month allegedly stole a relatives white Dodge Charger in Colorado after reportedly shooting a dog.  Authorities say he also was in possession of a hand gun allegedly reported stolen in Indiana.  On August 7th, he was pulled over in Lee County where he allegedly fled, firing at officers during the incident.  Powell’s vehicle then, according to the Sheriff’s Office, struck an occupied Lee County squad car as the deputy was attempting to set up stop sticks to end the pursuit.  The Deputy was transported to hospital and later released. Powell is suspected of stealing a gray 2019 Subaru Outback
