Nursing home allows residents to “fish” in front yard


Your “Daily Dose of Uplift” for August 14th:
With nursing homes around the country restricting visitors, the Springfield Nursing and Rehab Center in Kentucky built a “pond” and brought joy to their residents as they caught real fish.
They used a big water tank as a pond and allowed their residents a fun afternoon of socially distant fishing.
“Watching their eyes you can tell how much they enjoyed it,” the facility wrote in a Facebook post.
Truthfully, this is something I could see myself enjoying on my own front lawn!
