Over 1500 new cases; 18 deaths from COVID-19 in Illinois

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health Sunday announced 1,562 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Illinois, including 18 deaths, 12 of those from the Chicagoland area.  The state has had a total of 206,081 cases, including 7,744 deaths.  The IDPH reports that 345 patients were in the ICU and 116 patients with COVID-19 were on ventilators across Illinois.
