Over 1,700 new COVID-19 cases in Illinois, IDPH reports

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 12 more COVID-19 related deaths in the state on Monday, along with 1,773 new confirmed cases. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 207,854 individuals have tested positive, including 7,756 deaths in total. The IDPH reports that as of Sunday evening, 11,544 individuals in the state were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. 340 of those patients were in the ICU with 126 on ventilators.
