SPRINGFIELD – Nearly 2,000 positive coronavirus cases were reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health in the past 24 hours. The state also reported 11 deaths Sunday. So far during the pandemic, over 8,000 Illinoisans have passed away from complications due to the virus, and over 230,000 people have been infected.
