LASALLE – The Illinois Veterans’ Home in LaSalle received a donation of over $15,000 yesterday from Operation Smart TV. The money will be used to provide residents of the veterans’ home with smart televisions so that they can better stay in touch with loved ones even when they can not physically be there. Officials from the Veterans’ Home said they were very happy with the interest the fundraiser had generated in the community. Individuals who would still like to donate can do so at any branch of First State Bank.
