PRINCETON – An investigation during a traffic stop of a tractor-trailer in August on Interstate 80 led to the seizure $9,267,845 in cash. Two individuals are named in a forfeiture filing in Bureau County, Jose A. Flores-Salgado and Alberto Aguilar, both of California. The Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team say on August 11th they stopped a westbound truck for an alleged traffic violation. After a K9 indicated the odor of narcotics and a search was performed on the vehicle, located in the trailer were several storage cases and other items that authorities say didn’t belong with the enclosed freight, where the currency was located.
