SPRINGFIELD – The seven day positivity rate in Illinois for COVID-19 infections has dropped to just 3.5%. Illinois reported just over 1400 new cases Sunday and 14 additional deaths. Locally, LaSalle, Bureau, Marshall and Putnam Counties reported 36 new infections. The Illinois Department of Corrections updated their total, with local prisons reporting 33 active cases among inmates in Dixon, Sheridan and Pontiac. Statewide, only 151 patients were on ventilators battling COVID-19.
