SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,166 new COVID-19 cases in the state, along with 25 confirmed deaths. This marks the second day in a row with daily case counts over the 2,000 mark. Locally, LaSalle County announced 11 new coronavirus cases, individuals ranging in age from youth to their 70’s, as well as 16 new recoveries. In total, the county has seen 1,775 cases since the start of the pandemic, with all but 549 now recovered.
