How a bad dream made a four-year-old determined to make holiday care packages for children

Your “Daily Dose of Uplift” for October 13th:
Pippa Jackson, a 4-year-old girl in Cornwall, England, has begun to collect Christmas presents for children in need. Where did she get the inspiration to do such a thing? From a nightmare she had thinking about children who would potentially receive no gifts this holiday season…
With the help of her mother, Pippa is making the presents herself, which include various goodies such as hats, scarves, and coloring pencils.
“Pippa is currently making Christmas parcels, by receiving donations, and next week we will be making decorations as well,” Kadie Jackson said. “[The decorations] are to sell, and all the money that she raises will go towards buying presents for deprived children.”
Pippa and Kadie have their work cut out for them as Pippa’s goal is to make 200 care packages. I always say the best gifts are practical ones and this is a fantastic idea that encapsulates the spirit of the holidays!
