LASALLE – The Illinois State Police will be conducting additional patrols looking for those who travel the roadways without seat belts. During October, LaSalle County will see troopers looking for those drivers and passengers who are not properly restrained. Illinois law requires all vehicle passengers in the front and rear to be buckled up. The state police say half of vehicle occupants killed in a traffic crash were not properly buckled up.
