SPRINGFIELD – For the 5th time since the pandemic was declared in March, and for the 3rd time in just the last four days, Illinois saw over 4,000 cases on Sunday. The Illinois Department of Public Health says that in the last 24 hours, 4,245 people came down with the disease, and 22 people died. Locally, the LaSalle County Health Department reports 24 new cases on Sunday, which makes 2,163 total cases for the county.
