OTTAWA – The LaSalle County Health Department says 142 people have been confirmed infected of the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours. That bests the previous high of 90, set just two days ago, and gives the county a 7 day rolling average of 80 cases a day, also a high. The health department said on Thursday that one additional person has died from complications from the disease, a woman in her 90’s. There have been 73 deaths from COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
