CHICAGO – The American Red Cross has announced that due to the ongoing pandemic, blood, platelet and plasma donors are as essential as ever. They also supply about 40% of the nation’s blood. A number of upcoming opportunities to donate will be coming up this week, including in Ottawa on Tuesday at Carpenter’s Local 174 from 12 PM – 5 PM and at the Red Cross Blood Donation Center from 12 PM – 5:30 PM in Peru.
