PRINCETON – Three people are dead after a two vehicle crash Friday night in Bureau County. According to the Bureau County Sheriff’s Office, the two vehicles collided at the intersection of Route 40 and Kentville Road around 6:30 PM. The driver and lone occupant of one vehicle, a 62-year-old man from Putnam was pronounced dead at the scene. Two of the four passengers from Davenport, Iowa in the other vehicle, including an 11-year-old girl and the driver, a 39-year-old man were also killed. The other two passengers, a 39-year-old woman and a 13-year-old boy were taken to a Peoria hospital. The cause of the crash is still under investigation and names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
